Our Story
Launching in Beta in Q2 2026, Stream City redefines streaming as a vibrant movement, fueling opportunity and uniting creators with their audiences.
In early 2024, electrical engineering seniors Miguel Angel Vargas and William Escobar conceived Stream City, a streaming platform designed to address gaps in existing services by prioritizing creator control and fair compensation.
Their goal was to build a scalable, creator-centric platform with features like transparent revenue sharing, AI-driven audience analytics, and community-based content discovery, enabling creators to build sustainable careers.
In October 2024, Miguel Angel Vargas and William Escobar pitched Stream City to Batalla Family, a Panama-based single-family office with a focus on innovative tech ventures.
They showcased the platform’s technical strengths and market potential, emphasizing two groundbreaking innovations: a blockchain-based payment system and a unique recommendation algorithm. The blockchain integration, built on Ethereum smart contracts, ensured secure, transparent, and instantaneous microtransactions, giving creators verifiable revenue streams with minimal fees.
Complementing this, their proprietary recommendation algorithm leveraged graph-based machine learning to analyze user behavior and creator content, delivering highly personalized recommendations that reward consistent interaction between streamers and fans.
This dual innovation impressed Batalla Family’s technical team, who recognized its potential to disrupt the streaming industry. After a rigorous evaluation, Batalla Family committed seed funding to accelerate Stream City’s development, enabling the team to scale their infrastructure and refine their features.
